About the Role

Aristeo is seeking a highly skilled MEP Estimator to lead hard bids and negotiated proposals for our manufacturing, power, and energy projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating competitive bids and budgets, leveraging your comprehensive knowledge of industry standards and practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review proposal specifications, drawings, and attend pre-bid meetings to determine scope of work and required estimate contents
  • Prepare detailed MEP scopes of work and backup documentation for review and approval
  • Solicit project-specific proposals from subcontractors and suppliers, evaluating them for completeness and competitiveness
  • Develop options and recommend best value solutions based on cost, engineering, quality, or availability of materials
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with owners, consultants, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers
  • Assist Operations with awarded contracts and projects, including estimating and pricing change orders and facilitating resolution of contractual issues
  • Track and assist operations with awarded contracts and projects, including estimating and pricing extra work items, change orders, credit, and procuring materials
  • Work with the Proposal Coordinator to develop complete professional proposals, including schedules, project narratives, organizational charts, and other required information
  • Develop complete conceptual proposals to support business development and client maintenance
  • Negotiate and issue subcontracts
Requirements
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Project or other scheduling-related systems
  • Experience working with On Screen Takeoff and/or MC2 type software is preferred
  • Strong understanding of conceptual estimating, estimating techniques, and cost control
  • Ability to prepare proposals with minimal supervision
  • Comfortable working in teams and strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Construction Management is preferred
  • 7+ years of estimating experience
