Cardiothoracic Surgery Nurse Practitioner Opportunity

Lutheran Hospital, a member of the Lutheran Health Network in Fort Wayne, IN, has an exciting opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner to join their Cardiothoracic Surgery program. As a key member of the team, you will have maximum exposure to complex cases and work in the full continuum of cardiac care with a dynamic team.

Responsibilities:

  • First assist in endoscopic vein harvesting
  • Complex cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgeries
  • Full spectrum of cardiac surgery care, including pre-op and post-op care
  • Manage post-op patients, including arrhythmias, fluid balance, and other conditions, and treat as appropriate in collaboration with the surgeon
  • Monitor, consult, and act as liaison between the surgeon, patient, family, and staff
  • Collaborate with a team of cardiac surgeons and advanced practice providers
