Pharmacist Job Description

CentraState Healthcare System is seeking a skilled Pharmacist to join our team. As a Pharmacist, you will provide quality pharmaceutical services to patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities:
  • Operational: Process orders in a timely and accurate manner, demonstrating good aseptic technique and preparing sterile preparations in accordance with USP 797 and USP 800 requirements.
  • Clinical: Perform clinical interventions based on approved protocols and professional judgment, providing drug information and consultations to healthcare professionals and patients.
  • Quality/Performance Improvement: Participate in quality and performance improvement initiatives, assisting the Lead Pharmacist and Manager with operational needs and projects.
  • Regulatory/Professional Standards: Comply with regulatory and professional standards, providing recommendations for improvement.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD.
  • Work Experience: 1 year of hospital experience preferred.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Pharmacist License in the state of New Jersey.
  • Required Knowledge and Skills: Strong professional, organizational, and interpersonal skills, proficiency in Word and Excel.
