We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Research Scientist to join our team at the Children's National Medical Center.

Job Summary

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a motivated individual to conduct clinical research in a dynamic and collaborative environment. The successful candidate will work closely with senior researchers and clinicians to design, implement, and manage clinical trials related to cellular therapy.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct clinical research under minimal supervision, ensuring compliance with federal and institutional regulations and policies.
  • Author and revise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that meet cGMP requirements, providing clear instructions for efficient operations.
  • Perform cell-based assays, troubleshoot issues, and optimize protocols independently.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned by senior researchers or clinicians.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in basic science or a related field (required).
  • At least 2 years of progressive experience in a clinical lab or GMP/GLP setting (required).
  • Excellent aseptic/sterile techniques while working in clean rooms for manufacturing.
  • Demonstrated ability to think critically, troubleshoot, and analyze data effectively.
  • Capable of training others with clear instructions and technical expertise.
  • Ability to operate and use multiple flow cytometers.
