We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Self-Checkout Host to join our team at Sprouts Farmers Market. As a Self-Checkout Host, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, ensuring a smooth and seamless checkout experience for our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee self-checkout units and ensure complete customer satisfaction through prompt and friendly service.
- Assist customers with scanning, weighing, and paying for their items, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
- Serve multiple customers at once and anticipate any issues that may arise.
- Answer questions and assist with issues related to large items, scanning, weighing, payment, and more.
- Monitor scanning activity to ensure accuracy and invite customers to use self-checkout lanes when lines are forming in other lanes.
- Maintain knowledge of weekly ad items, promotions, and events, and provide direction on product location throughout the store.
- Ensure self-checkout areas are clean and orderly, and execute all other related duties as assigned.
- Thank customers as they leave the self-checkout area.
- Be 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in retail, customer service, or sales is preferred, with 1-2 years of cashier experience.
- Have a positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
- Be able to operate front-end equipment, including registers, calculators, and scanners.
- Be dependable and reliable, with the ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Have good physical stamina, with the ability to lift and carry product weighing up to 30 lbs.
- Be able to use both hands to move grocery carts horizontally, requiring a force up to 35 lbs.
- Have strong attention to detail and proficiency with numbers, as well as cash handling and mathematical skills.
