Key Responsibilities- Conduct mental health assessments and develop treatment plans for clients from diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Provide individual, group, and family therapy using evidence-based interventions.
- Collaborate with staff psychiatrists and other mental health practitioners to deliver comprehensive care.
- Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations and providers to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Participate in staff meetings, training, and development activities to enhance cultural competence and clinical skills.
- Graduate degree in psychology, social work, or a related field.
- Qualifications as a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) with the Mental Health & Addiction Certification Board of Oregon (MHACBO).
- Native or native-like fluency in English and one or more languages spoken by the target population (Somali, French, Arabic, Swahili, or Amharic).
- Cultural awareness and sensitivity to the experiences of refugees and immigrants from Africa.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a diverse team environment.
- Previous experience working with immigrants and refugees in a clinical setting.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed treatments and evidence-based interventions.
- Coursework or experience in clinical supervision and cultural competence.
