Job Summary

As a Data Engineer for Palantir Foundry at Cognizant, you will be part of an Agile development team responsible for the development of new Palantir applications. You will provide third-level technical support to resolve complex customer issues on Palantir applications and collaborate with Tier 1 and Tier 2 support teams to troubleshoot, train, and find solutions.

Responsibilities:
  • Act as the final line of support on Palantir applications-related issues.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners and other team members on subjects from design to deployment.
  • Design and develop data ingestion templates and ETL processes within Palantir Foundry.
  • Collaborate with domain consumers to build domain-specific data applications using Palantir Foundry tools such as Quiver, Vertex, Workshop, and Object Explorer pipeline builder.
  • Create and maintain an ontology structure as per data requirements.
  • Solution and implement data management controls including data quality, role-based access, data classification, and data archiving as part of data ingestion and building the Ontology.
  • Develop and maintain monitoring solutions to track data pipeline statistics and enable proactive issue detection and resolution.
  • Broad software development skills ranging from software development to data engineering.
  • Implement solutions in collaboration with end-users.
  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject or related experience.
  • Hands-on web development experience required including HTML5 and CSS.
  • Hands-on application data analytics and data transformation development experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, Python, PySpark, and SQL required.
  • Experience working within Agile/Scrum development teams, Agile tools like Team Services or JIRA, and IDEs like VS Code and source control in Azure DevOps or Git.
  • Detail-oriented drive for accuracy and completeness for data pipeline processing.
  • Experience with UX/UI design is a plus.
Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $137,500-$161,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and is subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
