This individual will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the district, ensuring the successful implementation of the Executional Framework. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business development, operations management, and leadership.
Key Responsibilities- Business Development: Support client relationships through improving operational efficiencies to grow base business and improve retention of account base. Collaborate with Business Development Managers to drive operational efficiencies and excellence.
- Operational Excellence: Review and analyze business performance utilizing plan data and recommend decisions/approaches to address key operational opportunities and levers, including route sales growth optimization, pricing actions, product inventory and waste reduction, and labor costs.
- Leadership and Development: Responsible for recruiting, hiring, training, coaching, and counseling management staff and front-line personnel to provide ongoing support and development. Leverage leadership skills to set goals and provide regular performance feedback.
- Safety and Compliance: Drive Operational Excellence culture and safety leadership, and all key initiatives relating to these core values, to provide a positive Market Center environment within the district.
- Administrative and Sales Operations: Ensure daily operations are maintained as scheduled. Maintain all business records, processes, and documentation as required.
- More than 10 years of relevant experience with an Associate's Degree or at least 7 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's Degree.
- Must be able to obtain DOT certification and to operate DOT regulated vehicles.
- Must have basic mechanical skills or ability to learn and train, contract Management and client retention experience.
- Must have prior experience with direct reports including hiring, coaching, and developing talent.
- Must be able to travel between locations in the district.
- Requires critical and high-level business contacts leading difficult negotiations that impact the business.
- Solves unique and complex problems that have a broad impact on the district business in both the short and long term.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and multi-tasking skills.
