Job Overview

LJK Investigations LLC is seeking a skilled Private Investigator to join our team in the Seattle area. This part-time position will involve conducting investigations related to criminal and civil cases, including witness interviews, crime scene investigations, and background checks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough investigations, gathering and analyzing evidence to support case findings
  • Service of legal papers and documents
  • Market investigative services to businesses and attorneys
  • Analyze and interpret complex information to inform case decisions
  • Organize and maintain case files and evidence
  • Conduct surveillance to gather information and evidence
  • Collect and preserve physical evidence, including photographs, videos, and audio recordings
  • Interview witnesses and individuals with relevant information
  • Research public records to gather information
  • Ensure all investigations are conducted in accordance with legal and ethical standards
  • Provide clear and concise reports summarizing investigation findings
  • Testify in court as an expert witness to present findings and evidence
  • Manage and prioritize investigation assignments to meet deadlines
Requirements
  • 5 years of experience in private investigations or law enforcement preferred
  • Strong knowledge of criminal defense laws and regulations
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to gather, analyze, and interpret complex information
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate and error-free work
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work with sensitive information
  • Maintain DPS Private Investigator license
  • Maintain Process Server Certification
  • Reliable transportation
  • Occasional evening, weekends, or overnight assignments
