Critical Care Registered Nurse (RN) PRN III Nights – Intensive Care Unit

Join a dynamic and high-demand ICU team that seeks skilled nursing professionals.

Position Overview:

As a Critical Care Registered Nurse, you will be an integral part of our Intensive Care Unit, providing exceptional care to patients with complex medical needs.

Work Schedule:

PRN Level III, Night Shift from 7 PM to 7 AM; a minimum of 6 shifts every 6 weeks, including 2 weekend shifts and 1 major and 2 minor holiday shifts annually.

ICU Unit Highlights:

  • 18-bed Medical-Surgical Intensive Care Unit specializing in Trauma, Neurosurgical, and Cardiovascular care.
  • Opportunities to enhance your skills in high-acuity procedures such as Intra-aortic Balloon Pump (IABP), Targeted Temperature Management, Impella, and Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT).

Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred.
  • Current RN licensure upon hire.
  • BCLS certification required prior to independent patient care.
  • ACLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
  • NIHSS certification required within 30 days of hire.
  • CPI training required within 90 days of hire.
  • Minimum of 1 year of clinical nursing experience required.
  • Prior ICU experience is strongly preferred.

Deliver comprehensive patient care through the Nursing Process:

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments.
  • Develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Perform appropriate nursing interventions.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of care provided.
  • Incorporate age-specific safety and infection control measures.
  • Address patient and family informational needs.
  • Ensure continuity of care across shifts and during transfers.
