Job Summary:

The Charge Nurse (RN) position at Cantex is responsible for overseeing the provision of patient care services in accordance with accepted standards of care and as prescribed by the attending physician.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure patient care is delivered in accordance with accepted standards of practice.
  • Observe, assess, and report patient conditions/changes and document in accordance with Cantex's Clinical Policy and State/Federal guidelines and regulations.
  • Administer medication/treatments as prescribed and receive, transcribe, and execute physicians' orders.
  • Evaluate and implement a patient's care plan, identify and secure equipment and supplies, and direct, monitor, and coordinate the timely delivery of quality patient care by subordinate staff.
  • Ensure a safe environment is maintained in accordance with Cantex's Disaster and OSHA Manual and all local, State, and Federal guidelines and regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements:
  • Graduate from an accredited nursing school and holds a current and valid license in the appropriate State.
  • Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience in either a long-term care or healthcare setting.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak the English Language.
