Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Ventilation Specialist to join our team at Nihon Kohden America. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical device sales, with a focus on ventilation products.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that requires approximately 80% travel within the assigned territory of North CA and NV. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting and selling Nihon Kohden's NKV Series Ventilator Systems to hospitals and GPOs, as well as providing clinical support and training to customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Meet or Exceed Sales Goals: Meet or exceed quarterly and annual region's sales goals for the NKV Series Ventilator Systems and associated consumables.
  • Build Strong Relationships: Develop and maintain consultative sales relationships with key-buying influences in each account, ensuring excellent communication and customer satisfaction.
  • Stay Up-to-Date: Maintain thorough knowledge of NK ventilation products and technology, as well as standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the medical device industry.
  • Represent Nihon Kohden: Represent Nihon Kohden as a technology leader and vendor of choice through joint presentations, evaluations, and sales calls, with Patient Monitoring and Neurology sales and clinical teams.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in business, science, or a related discipline; experience in lieu accepted. 5+ years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist, including adult, pediatric, and neonatal populations required; Valid, unrestricted respiratory therapy license issued within the United States; Active NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Credential preferred.
  • Sales Experience: 5+ years of critical care medical device sales experience to hospitals and GPOs; ventilation sales preferred.
  • Competencies: Excellent oral and written communication skills, including formal presentation skills before small groups to communicate technical, product and deal information clearly. Ability to accurately assess customer needs and provide consultative solutions.
Compensation

The estimated salary for this role is $110,000 per year, plus opportunities for variable incentives via commissions earned above value of earned MBO's.
