Dialysis Nurse Specialist

As a key member of our patient care team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to patients in our comfortable and well-equipped clinical settings.
Responsibilities
- Prepare dialysis equipment and ensure quality standards are met
- Perform hemodialysis treatments in accordance with facility policies and procedures
- Provide ongoing patient education, training, and health coaching
- Monitor patients during dialysis and communicate changes with physicians and families
- Administer and chart prescribed medications
- Follow CDC/CMS infection control regulations
- Participate in patient care conferences, rounds, and chart reviews
- Document required patient education efforts
- Facilitate continuity of care with local hospitals
- Assist with medication inventory management
- Lead small patient care teams
- Contribute to onboarding new staff members as directed
- Perform additional tasks as needed
Qualifications and Requirements
- Accredited nursing degree required
- Dialysis experience not necessary, on-the-job training provided
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with care teams
