Job Summary

Warren Transport, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Financial Manager to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for preparing company financial statements, performing month-end accounting duties, and providing financial analysis and support to management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Create, proof, edit, and finalize all company financial statements, identifying and resolving problems as needed.
  • Financial Analysis: Prepare various operating statistics for management review, compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts, and document business transactions.
  • Accounting Assignments: Perform advanced and specialized accounting assignments, involving complex and confidential data, and obtain and analyze financial information to prepare reports, statements, and recommendations.
  • Accounting Procedures: Establish, modify, document, and coordinate implementation of accounting and internal control procedures, and review, investigate, and correct errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise, assist, and mentor others in the Accounting department, foster a team environment to facilitate meeting of individual and team goals, and demonstrate Warren's Mission, Vision, and Values in a consistent, effective, and reliable manner.
  • Special Projects: Provide special project assistance to the VP of Finance, monitor compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and company procedures, and manipulate and analyze past and present financial data of the organization to produce business information used to support decisions.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of accounting/finance and analysis experience, with a minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience and 1 year of work experience in a related area.
  • Skills: Exceptional skills in utilizing automated accounting systems and software, excellent computer skills for building and maintaining spreadsheets, analytical models, and database systems, strong interpersonal skills, ability to work with others at all levels of the organization, and ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Personal Qualities: Self-motivated, able to multi-task, and work independently, a team player, amenable to a variety of work projects, and able to think creatively and provide creative contributions to projects.
