Job Title: Glass Handling Truck Operator
Job Overview
As a Glass Handling Truck Operator, you will be responsible for maneuvering a specialized truck within the facility, transporting glass packs from production zones to designated storage areas in preparation for dispatch. You will also retrieve glass packs from storage and deliver them to the appropriate shipping locations as required. This role supports the Shipping, Coater, and Wareroom Departments.
Essential Skills
- Proficient in operating a specialized pack truck
- Knowledgeable about various glass zones throughout the facility
- Skilled in efficient storage techniques for glass packs
- Experience with forklifts and cherry pickers
Work Environment
The work environment may be dusty due to glass particles, and temperatures can vary significantly depending on the area. This position is focused solely on operating the pack truck, with no cross-training opportunities. The shifts are 12 hours long, rotating between day and night schedules.
Compensation
The hourly wage for this position is $25.21.
