Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and coordinate infection prevention-related quality and performance improvement activities
  • Collaborate with the Hospital Epidemiologist and Nursing Director to set standards and priorities for infection prevention
  • Lead performance improvement efforts to reduce hospital-acquired infections
  • Participate in regional and national collaboratives to stay up-to-date on best practices in infection prevention
  • Consult with healthcare teams to provide guidance on infection prevention and control
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Public Health, Epidemiology, or a related field
  • New York State Registered Professional Nurse License and current registration
  • Certification in Infection Control (CIC)
  • Experience in infection prevention and control, with a focus on pediatric and neonatal care
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Critical thinking and analytical skills for problem-solving and decision-making
