We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Manager to join our team at The Salters Group. As a Tax Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing tax minimization strategies, delivering high-quality client service, and adapting to our firm's practices, policies, and culture.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement tax minimization strategies to optimize client tax positions.
- Deliver exceptional client service, ensuring timely and accurate tax compliance.
- Collaborate with directors/principals to manage detailed reviews of engagements, enabling them to serve more clients effectively.
- Train, supervise, and review the work of other tax staff, ensuring high-quality output.
- Identify issues and opportunities to expand the consulting practice, driving business growth.
- Conduct performance evaluations constructively and timely, providing ongoing feedback to employees.
- Maintain required annual Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits, staying up-to-date with industry developments.
- 5+ years of experience in public accounting, with a strong background in taxation.
- CPA or EA certification, with an MBA or MS in Taxation highly desirable.
- Excellent communication, research, analytical, and writing skills, with the ability to establish rapport with clients.
- Broad tax knowledge, with expertise in areas like construction, real estate, government, estate planning, trusts, and wills.
- Proficient in software such as Profx Tax and Engagement, Excel, XCM, iChannel, BNA, and other relevant tools.
