Job Summary:

As a Dental Hygienist at Conte Dentistry, you will play a vital role in maintaining our patients' oral health. You will perform a range of clinical procedures, including cleanings, exams, and patient education. Your expertise will ensure that our patients receive the highest standard of care in a professional and compassionate manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Patient Cleanings: Perform thorough teeth cleanings, including scaling and polishing, to maintain patients' oral health.
  • Examine and Assess: Take and interpret X-rays, and assess the condition of patients' oral health to identify any potential issues.
  • Educate Patients: Provide patients with guidance on oral hygiene practices and preventive care to promote healthy habits.
  • Maintain Records: Accurately document patient care, treatments, and observations to ensure seamless communication among team members.
  • Support the Team: Collaborate with dentists and other staff members to ensure comprehensive patient care and a positive patient experience.
  • Ensure Safety: Follow infection control procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area to prevent the spread of infection.
  • Handle Equipment: Manage dental instruments and equipment with precision and care to ensure optimal performance.

Qualifications:

  • Dental Hygiene License: Valid state license as a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) is required.
  • Certification: CPR certification is required; dental radiography is required; additional certifications are a plus.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a dental office is preferred but not required.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy and patient comfort is crucial for delivering exceptional patient care.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with dental software (e.g., Dentrix) is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Adaptability: Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment is essential for success in this role.
