Job description

We have an immediate part time opening for a recent graduate or experienced Dental Hygienist. You will perform examinations and periodontal therapies, take x-rays and administer ozone and natural therapies. You will instruct patients on effective brushing and flossing techniques and the use of natural remedies to maintain optimal oral and systemic health. You must have a current state dental hygiene license and an anesthesia license is helpful. We pride ourselves in providing excellent care to all of our patients and expect our hygienists to be attentive and detailed in their duties.

Dental Hygienist Duties and Responsibilities

· Gather patient information and health background

· Take digital x-rays and CBCT when necessary

· Take intra-oral digital photos

· Prepare the work area for procedures

· Experience in scaling and root planning and polishing of teeth

· Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques

· Electronic patient data entry and updates

· Sterilizing dental instruments and equipment

· Control of inventory and timely reordering

· Knowledge of essential oils, natural remedies and holistic principles a plus

· Knowledge of ozone therapies and the oral-systemic connection a plus

Dental Hygienist Requirements and Qualifications

· Associate degree or bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene from an accredited program

· Current state license and x-ray certification

· Excellent understanding of dental hygiene procedures

· Knowledge of PPE usage and sterilization techniques

· Excellent communication skills

· Proficient with Microsoft Office a plus

Skilled in facial esthetics treatments a big plus

Trained and licensed in administering local anesthesia a big plus
