Pharmacy Technician Opportunity at ChristianaCare

We are seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at the Logistics Center in Glasgow, Delaware. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting the Department of Pharmacy Services with a focus on accuracy, timeliness, and patient safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Fills 24-hour cart fill through PillPick
  • Replenishes Swisslog Automated Inventory Management Systems, including PillPick
  • Receives and checks incoming supplier orders
  • Performs floor stock billing to ensure patients are billed accurately and timely
  • Performs repackaging/prepackaging to maintain PAR levels
  • Processes and fills office practice orders and packages for delivery
  • Updates expiration dates and inventory levels of stock medication
  • Safely and effectively uses automated devices, including KitCheck, Medication Carousels, and Swisslog Automated Inventory Management Systems
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma required
  • Hospital pharmacy experience preferred
  • Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification required unless enrolled in a PharmD program
  • Applicants enrolled or graduate of a 4-year bachelor program in health science majors are encouraged to apply and will be required to obtain PTCB certification within 1 year of employment
