Job Summary:
As a Pharmacy Technician at JobRialto, you will play a vital role in assisting Pharmacists with medication histories, training Tech I associates, and preparing drug orders according to established policies and protocols. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will ensure accurate patient medication records and timely completion of daily activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Pharmacists with medication histories and verify computerized patient medication records accurately.
  • Train Tech I associates and maintain accurate, complete patient drug records.
  • Prepare drug orders per physician request according to established policies and protocols.
  • Compound pharmaceuticals, including non-sterile and sterile products, chemotherapy, and parenteral nutrition products accurately.
  • Issue controlled substances to patient care areas and maintain records as required by law and institutional policies.
  • Provide services efficiently and in a timely fashion, verifying the daily activities of the department are complete and recorded.
  • Maintain competency required for the current job title/position and ensure applicable CE records and licensure are maintained in department files.
  • Attend staff meetings and maintain IV certification and competencies.
  • Complete all competency/skills assessment requirements and serve as the technician in specialty areas such as the operating room, IV room, or pharmacy work areas outside the central pharmacy.
  • Provide ambulatory pharmaceutical care services as assigned, such as anticoagulation clinics, intensive medical home, transition of care, Discharge Medication reconciliation, etc.
  • Perform outpatient distributive functions related to entering prescription orders, selecting the correct medications for new and refilled prescription orders, and coordinating delivery of medications for patient pick-up or delivery.

Required Qualifications:

  • Pharmacy Tech License.
  • 2-3 years of experience.
  • BLS.
