About the Job

As a Site Director at the YMCA Loudoun, you will be responsible for managing an off-site program and daily operations. This includes planning, development, and implementation of before and after school activities under the YMCA School Age Curriculum guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain safety and well-being of children at the site.
  • Supervise senior group leaders, group leaders, and volunteers in the classroom or at the site.
  • Maintain staff/child ratios by using substitutes or substituting for other staff when necessary.
  • Provide guidance to senior group leaders and group leaders to effectively develop and carry out weekly lesson plans for daily activities.
  • Communicate regularly with school principals and parents through newsletters, calendar of activities, etc.
  • Maintain site compliance with licensing requirements at all times.
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful as a Site Director, you must meet one of the following requirements:

  • A graduate degree in a child-related field and six months of programmatic experience.
  • A bachelor's degree in a child-related field and one year of programmatic experience.
  • Forty-eight semester hours or 72 quarter hours of college credit, of which 12 semester hours or 18 quarter hours are in child-related subjects, and one year of programmatic experience.
  • Two years of programmatic experience with one year in a staff supervisory capacity and at least one of the education backgrounds.
