Job Title: Licensed Mental Health Clinician

Overview:

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is seeking a highly skilled Licensed Mental Health Clinician to join our team at NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem. As a member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide comprehensive psychosocial services to adults, adolescents, and young adults living with HIV/AIDS.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments and make appropriate referrals.
  • Provide individual, group, and family psychotherapy.
  • Attend weekly adolescent/young adult clinics and monitor caseload of stable cases.
  • Co-facilitate support groups with mental health staff members.
  • Participate in care coordination meetings for comprehensive treatment planning and interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Develop and maintain active contact with community-based resources to assist clients.
  • Participate in quality improvement activities for the mental health program.
  • Improve proficiency in managing psychiatric crises with severe and persistent mentally ill.
  • Participate in group supervision with other group leaders and clinical staff.

Qualifications:

  • A master's degree from an accredited school of social work and at least two years of experience in providing case management services and psychotherapy/supportive counseling.
  • Current license - Social Work (LMSW) issued by New York State Department of Education.
  • Computer literacy with familiarity with Microsoft Office suite programs and data management.
