Worlds of Fun is looking for an Assistant Manager to support the management of our In-Park Food and Beverage Division. This role is crucial in ensuring effective oversight of the assigned area within Food Services. The selected candidate will be responsible for maintaining quality and cost efficiency in food, beverage, and service operations while striving to meet all financial objectives.

Responsibilities:
  • Meet all financial and budgetary targets.
  • Act as the on-duty manager for Food & Beverage on a rotating schedule, focusing on in-park operations, staffing adequacy, and addressing guest inquiries.
  • Ensure exceptional guest service is upheld across all units.
  • Implement cost control measures for food and labor to achieve favorable budget outcomes.
  • Regularly verify compliance with state and local health regulations.
  • Initiate corrective actions and improvements as necessary or as directed by the Director, ensuring accurate reporting within the area of responsibility.
  • Encourage team members to pursue continuous improvement in their performance.
  • Adhere to corporate and divisional policies and procedures consistently.
  • Maintain open and effective communication with all staff members.
  • Keep the Director informed of all relevant developments within the area on a daily basis.
  • Comply with and enforce all Worlds of Fun policies and procedures, including safety, attendance, and equal employment opportunity standards, while demonstrating a commitment to customer service in all aspects of the role.
Qualifications:
  • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED
  • License or Certification: Valid driver's license and a Food Handlers card (or ability to obtain one post-hire).
  • Experience: Minimum of 2-4 years in multi-unit, high-volume food and beverage operations.
  • Equivalency: Relevant experience or a combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of the above requirements.
