Hulcher Services, a nationwide services contractor to the railroads, general industry, and government, is seeking an energetic Laborer to join their team. As a Laborer, you will play a crucial role in clearing railroad derailments, performing environmental remediation, and assisting in industrial locations and rail construction.
Key Responsibilities- Drive tractor-trailer or escort vehicles
- Carry, handle, and detach/attach heavy steel chains, blocks, and steel cables, and other devices
- Climb on and crawl under derailed railroad cars and other equipment
- Clean, maintain, and set-up equipment requiring use of small and large tools
- Operate cutting torch and welding equipment
- Utilize various hand and power tools
- Lift 150 lbs. max with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects up to 50 lbs.
- Work at elevated heights on railroad cars; bridges, over water, or in water
- Learns and complies with company policies and procedures, and safety rules
- Learns hazardous materials handling and precautions
- Maintain required equipment service records
- Assure safekeeping and proper usage of company tools
- Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record
- Must meet background check requirements
- Be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical
- Previous railroad or construction experience
- MUST LIVE LOCALLY IN THE AREA
- Must be willing to be 24-hour on-call availability
