San Diego Youth Services is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Licensed Clinician to join our team in the Achievement Center Program. As a key member of our staff, you will provide critical mental health services to youth enrolled in our program, promoting their overall well-being and helping them achieve their full potential.
About the RoleThis is a part-time position with the possibility of going full-time, and you will be working closely with our Program Manager to ensure the success of our program. Your primary responsibilities will include providing group and individual mental health services, conducting assessments, and developing client plans in collaboration with the youth and program staff.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement integrated approaches for youth with co-occurring disorders, adhering to the rigorous standards of San Diego Youth Services.
- Conduct in-depth assessments for potential mental health and substance abuse issues, as well as physical and emotional abuse.
- Provide individual, group, and family therapy, crisis intervention, and case management services.
- Facilitate trauma-informed and strength-based groups on various topics, including coping skills and social emotional learning.
- Collaborate with community partners, including Probation, and referral sources to ensure comprehensive support for our youth.
- Licensed Eligible in Marital and Family Therapy, Social Work, or Psychology.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience working with high-risk adolescents, preferably those involved with the juvenile justice system.
- Bi-lingual Spanish preferred.
- Experience in crisis intervention, therapeutic group facilitation, documentation, and case management.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
