Job Title: Senior Hydrographic Surveyor

APTIM is seeking a highly skilled Senior Hydrographic Surveyor to join our dynamic team in Tampa, Florida, Boca Raton, Florida, or Baton Rouge, LA. As a Senior Hydrographic Surveyor, you will be responsible for leading hydrographic surveys, collecting and processing data, and providing technical expertise to support coastal restoration, offshore renewable energy development, and offshore mineral applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead hydrographic surveys and collect data using multibeam and single-beam sonar systems
  • Process and interpret hydrographic data to support project deliverables
  • Collaborate with geophysical and geotechnical teams to integrate data and provide comprehensive project solutions
  • Develop and implement project plans, specifications, and procedures
  • Communicate technical concepts and results to stakeholders through oral and written presentations
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in hydrography, geomatics, geology, geophysics, or related field
  • 5-20 years of relevant experience in hydrographic surveying and data analysis
  • Category A Hydrographer Certification or ability to obtain within 6 months
  • Licensed Professional Surveyor or ability to obtain within 6 months, licensed in FL, LA, or NC
  • Strong technical writing skills and experience with multibeam sonar survey design, implementation, and data interpretation
