This role focuses on the creation and management of digital content across various platforms, including web and social media, for the IndigeLabs Network and related initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing both inbound and outbound digital communications, as well as the production and distribution of marketing materials aimed at diverse audiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with IndigeLab leadership and team members to produce a range of written materials, such as articles, brochures, press releases, and social media content.
  • Conduct independent research, interviews, and fact-checking to ensure the accuracy and relevance of content.
  • Edit and coordinate the production of printed and digital communications.
  • Manage the development and dissemination of content for social media platforms.
  • Present IndigeLab activities through webinars and at professional gatherings, creating engaging presentations based on collaborative input.
  • Participate in regular meetings with the Collaboratory for Indigenous Data Governance and other project-related discussions.
  • Develop a personal professional growth plan and engage with mentors for continuous improvement.

Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, along with at least one year of relevant work experience.
  • Preferred experience in communications and marketing.

Skills and Abilities
  • Strong understanding of communication strategies and writing techniques.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, managing multiple projects effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interaction with diverse stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with Native American histories, cultures, and principles of Indigenous data sovereignty.
