Clinical Pharmacist Ambulatory Retail Specialist

As a Clinical Pharmacist Ambulatory Retail, you will work alongside top clinical, technical, and business professionals across all disciplines to provide specialty medication access resolution, patient education, and clinical monitoring for Pulmonary, Allergy, and Endocrinology clinics at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center.
This role requires effective communication and integration within the healthcare team and current structure of the Pharmacy Department. You will be responsible for designing, recommending, monitoring, evaluating, and documenting patient and age-specific pharmacotherapy, as well as ensuring adherence to medication-use policies and guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide pharmacy services to multiple specialties throughout Penn Presbyterian Medical Center
- Collaborate with multiple clinical pharmacists to provide full-time presence across the team for each assigned clinic
- Design, recommend, monitor, evaluate, and document patient and age-specific pharmacotherapy
- Ensure adherence to medication-use policies and guidelines
- Participate in and lead quality improvement initiatives and clinical research within the pharmacy and/or other institutional departments to improve patient care
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science Degree or Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from an accredited College of Pharmacy
- Successful completion of a PGY1 Pharmacy Residency (Required)
- Preferably in area of specialty practice they are applying for OR experience as a licensed pharmacist in a hospital pharmacy with /= 50% of time spent in area of specialty
