Job Summary

UF Health is seeking a skilled Echocardiographer to join our team. As an Echocardiographer, you will be responsible for performing echocardiograms on adult and pediatric patients in an inpatient and outpatient setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform echocardiograms on adult and pediatric patients in an inpatient and outpatient setting.
  • Qualifications:
    • Age of Patients Served: All Age Groups
    • Required Education: GED or High School Diploma
    • Preferred Education: Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer
    • Necessary Skills:
      • Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and ultrasound physics
      • Excellent interpersonal skills and customer/patient service, problem solving, time management and organizational skill, be a team player, excellent communication skills including telephone etiquette
      • Ability to recognize life-threatening findings and notify physicians
      • Ability to calculate test results
      • Uses good body mechanics
      • Maintain patient confidentiality
      • Serves as patient advocate
      • Good organizational skills basic computer data entry
    • Required Licensure/Certifications:
      • BLS certification from the American Heart Association
      • CCI or ARDMS required within one (1) year of hire or transfer date
    • Amount of Experience:
      • Less than one (1) year minimum
    • Preferred Experience:
      • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer
    Requirements
