Job Title: Service Technician

VineBrook Homes, LLC is seeking a skilled Service Technician to join our team. As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for the upkeep and repair of our properties, ensuring that our residents receive exceptional service and our properties are maintained to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Complete resident service requests in a timely manner, providing outstanding customer experiences
  • Assist with upkeep of all assets to meet Company quality standards
  • Handle emergency service requests on a rotational basis
  • Ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner
  • Use company tools and equipment as directed and in accordance with all required safety standards
  • Coordinate with assigned personnel and/or other trades for the purpose of completing projects and service requests efficiently
  • Function as part of an interdepartmental team
  • Respond to emergency situations during after-hours to resolve immediate safety concerns
Requirements:
  • Strong aptitude with computers, internet, and network phone systems
  • Two to five years' previous experience in a maintenance role
  • Work is performed while standing, sitting, and/or walking
  • Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing
  • Transport a variety of tools, equipment, and supplies for the purpose of ensuring the availability of materials required at the service site
  • Requires activity involving being exposed to moving machinery, exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, fumes, and gases
  • Exemplary customer service skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • HVAC Certification Preferred
  • At least two years of Carpentry, Plumbing, and Electrical experience
  • Must have own tools, we will provide larger equipment as needed
  • Time Management skills
  • Valid driver's license
  • Pass a Motor Vehicle, Drug Screen, and Criminal Background Check
Physical Requirements:
  • Requires working in confined spaces and in awkward positions, such as under countertop sink repairs
  • Requires working on ladders, in elevated spaces, and overhead work, such as changing light bulbs, painting high walls, painting ceilings, and minor lighting repairs
  • Requires general maintenance of fixtures in basements, crawl spaces, and confined spaces, such as furnace maintenance, hot water heater repairs, and air conditioner maintenance
  • Requires general maintenance of all types of flooring, including manual repair to linoleum, wood flooring, and carpet
  • Requires the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull medium weights up to 75 pounds
