Job Title: CT Technologist

Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join our team in Clarendon Hills, Illinois.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to perform computed tomography procedures utilizing General Electric Revolution, Lightspeed, Brightspeed, and HD750 Computerized Tomography Systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cross-sectional anatomy and CT procedures, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform computed tomography procedures according to established operating procedures, clinical protocols, and imaging techniques.
  • Address minor customer complaints and resolve issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Coordinate the scheduling of inpatients and outpatients to ensure efficient utilization of CT equipment and personnel.
  • Perform Quality Assurance Tests on CT equipment to ensure optimal image quality and equipment performance.
  • Obtain patient history and other relevant clinical information, and document all patient information on appropriate forms.
  • Prepare images and clinical information for interpretation by a radiologist.
  • Start IVs using appropriate technique, prepare and administer contrast material, and monitor patient condition during the CT procedure.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of Radiologic Technology program.
  • 2 hours of stroke education/year.
  • ARRT Registry (RT).
  • IDNS License.
  • CPR.
  • IV Certification within 3 months of date of hire.
  • CT Registration within 1 year of date of hire.
Working Conditions:

The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment, respond to requests to work on short notice, and be flexible in starting times to meet demand. The position requires the ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance and to use patient handling equipment when necessary.
