Job Title: CT Technologist

Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join our team in Clarendon Hills, Illinois.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to perform computed tomography procedures utilizing General Electric Revolution, Lightspeed, Brightspeed, and HD750 Computerized Tomography Systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing quality assurance tests on CT equipment, maintaining equipment safety, and ensuring optimal image quality and equipment performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform computed tomography procedures according to established operating procedures, clinical protocols, and imaging techniques.
  • Address minor customer complaints and resolve issues in a professional manner.
  • Coordinate the scheduling of inpatients and outpatients to ensure efficient utilization of CT equipment and personnel.
  • Perform quality assurance tests on CT equipment to ensure optimal image quality and equipment performance.
  • Maintain equipment safety by performing daily tube warm-up and calibrations on CT scanners.
  • Communicate equipment issues or concerns to appropriate personnel and/or initiate requests for emergency medical support as indicated by patient condition.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of Radiologic Technology program.
  • 2 hours of stroke education/year.
  • ARRT Registry (RT).
  • IDNS License.
  • CPR.
  • IV Certification within 3 months of date of hire.
  • CT Registration within 1 year of date of hire.
Working Conditions:
  • Able to respond to requests to work on short notice.
  • Flexible in starting times to meet demand.
  • As required, must be able to transport, move, and lift patients.
  • May require rotating shifts and alternate days.
  • Exposed to infectious diseases.
  • Must take call.
  • Willing to work overtime when requested.
  • Musculoskeletal hazard from large amount of job lifting.
  • Musculoskeletal hazard from repetitive motions.

Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance. For patient lifts of over 35 pounds, or when patient is unable to assist with the lift, patient handling equipment is expected to be used, with at least one other associate, when available. Unique patient lifting/movement situations will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
