Job Summary

As a Senior Certified Pharmacy Technician at Walgreens, you will play a vital role in assisting pharmacists in the practice of pharmacy, ensuring accurate and efficient processing of prescriptions, and providing exceptional customer service. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the success of our pharmacy department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist pharmacists in the performance of pharmacy duties, including the preparation and dispensing of medications, and the maintenance of accurate records.
  • Process prescriptions accurately and efficiently, using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, engaging with customers and patients to ensure a positive experience.
  • Develop strong relationships with customers and healthcare providers, promoting the Walgreens brand and services.
  • Participate in training and development programs to maintain and enhance skills and knowledge in pharmacy operations and customer service.

Requirements

  • PTCB or ExCPT certification (except in Puerto Rico)
  • One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting
  • Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico)
  • Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior work experience with Walgreens
  • Good math skills (counting, measuring, and weighing medications)
  • Basic level PC skills (e.g., starting and shutting down computer, using mouse to point and click, starting and closing programs, switching between programs, saving files, printing documents, and accessing information online)
  • Knowledge of store inventory control
