ESL Instructor

Cape Fear Community College is seeking a qualified ESL Instructor to provide classroom instruction to adult ESL students at Pender Correctional Institute. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing students' needs and delivering instruction that focuses on work-related and employability skills.

• Provide classroom instruction to adult ESL students
• Assess students' needs and develop lesson plans to meet their learning objectives
• Deliver instruction that focuses on work-related and employability skills
• Use a variety of teaching methods to engage students and promote learning
• Monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed
• Participate in curriculum development and evaluation
• Attend faculty meetings and contribute to departmental discussions

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
• Experience teaching adult ESL students
• Ability to assess students' needs and develop effective lesson plans
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances

• Master's degree in TESOL or a related field
• Experience teaching employability skills
• English as a Second Language (ESL) Certification
• Experience working in a correctional facility
