Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our team at Southern States Cooperative. As a key member of our warehouse operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of merchandise to our retail locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive and process merchandise deliveries, verifying accuracy and inspecting items for damage or defects.
  • Operate industrial equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and skid loaders, to move merchandise throughout the warehouse.
  • Stock shelves and maintain showroom appearance, ensuring a clean and organized environment for customers.
  • Fill customer orders and provide loading assistance, providing excellent customer service and ensuring timely delivery.
  • Perform general facility maintenance, including housekeeping duties and equipment maintenance, to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse environment, operating industrial equipment, and providing customer service preferred.
  • Forklift certification required; commercial driver's license and propane certification may be required depending on location.
Work Environment

This role requires working in a fast-paced warehouse environment, with exposure to various hazards, including drafts, temperature changes, and hazardous materials. Ability to work extended hours and alternate schedules as needed.

Physical Demands

This position requires standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds, with occasional lifting of heavier items. Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues and customers.
