About the Team:
Our team is dedicated to overseeing Warehouse Management Systems across multiple market segments at Walmart. We collaborate closely with U.S. stores and eCommerce to enhance customer satisfaction through technological innovations. From groceries to entertainment, and from sporting goods to crafts, Walmart U.S. provides a wide range of products that our customers love, whether they shop online, via mobile apps, or in-store. Our primary focuses include customer satisfaction, empowering stores and employees, in-store services, merchant tools, data science, and personalized search capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct the Architecture and Design of the Unified Warehouse Management System for various markets, including General Merchandise, Pharmacy, Imported goods, and specialty items such as fashion, jewelry, and optical products. This includes overseeing the entire platform through Architecture, Design, Implementation, Deployment, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Collaborate with fellow architects to create a robust, high-performance, multi-tenant platform that meets the needs of diverse business segments.
  • Guide the team on best practices for building large-scale systems.
  • Engage with Senior Architects from different supply chain areas such as Item, Inventory, Replenishment, and Transportation.
Qualifications:
  • Proven expertise in developing large-scale systems and creating architectural strategies for multiple products/platforms within a specific domain. Skilled in assessing technical priorities for product/solution architecture.
  • Experience with cloud-based technologies related to computing, messaging, and data storage. Leverage these technologies to select the right tech stack for the platform, while continuously improving platform capabilities and non-functional requirements such as availability, reliability, scalability, and performance.
  • Advocate for a strong organizational culture. Work collaboratively with other Architects within the organization, providing mentorship and guidance to foster a culture of technical excellence.
  • Ability to influence without direct authority. Collaborate with Architects outside the organization in the Supply Chain domain to develop efficient end-to-end solutions for Walmart.
  • Experience in the Retail industry is advantageous.
