We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Worker to join our team at Lawrence Township Public Schools. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure the safety and efficiency of our buildings and grounds.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including repairs and replacements of equipment, fixtures, and appliances.
- Inspect buildings and grounds to identify potential hazards and take corrective action.
- Operate a variety of equipment, including snowplows, lawn mowers, and tractors.
- Assist with custodial duties, including cleaning and sanitizing facilities.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the Supervisor of Maintenance and/or Director of Facilities.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in general maintenance.
- Demonstrated expertise in maintenance, including upkeep and repairs to buildings, equipment, and grounds.
- Ability to analyze problems, organize work, and develop effective work methods.
- Ability to understand and carry out oral and written directions and assignments.
- Ability to observe established safety procedures.
- Black Seal Firemen's License required or obtained within one year.
This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent exposure to physical demands, including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods. The successful candidate must be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to safety and customer service.
