Job Title: Food Runner

Job Summary:

Burma Inc is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Food Runner to join our team. As a Food Runner, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless dining experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver food to guests in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Provide warm and engaging interactions with guests, responding to their needs and preferences.
  • Develop a working knowledge of our menu, ingredients, and allergens to effectively educate guests and address their questions.
  • Monitor the dining room for customer needs, empty serverware, and refills, taking initiative to correct any issues that may arise.
  • Collaborate with the front-of-house team to maintain a positive and welcoming atmosphere, promoting a sense of teamwork and camaraderie.
  • Communicate food orders to the back-of-house team, prioritizing special requests and ensuring accuracy.
  • Comply with health and safety codes, maintaining a clean and organized food running station.
  • Assist with routine cleaning responsibilities and perform calmly and effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

  • Strong customer service skills and a positive attitude.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, prioritizing guest satisfaction and teamwork.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced food service environment, preferably in a restaurant setting.
  • Knowledge of spirits, wine, and food, as well as basic safety and sanitation policies.
  • Ability to acquire necessary certifications, including California Food Handlers, Sexual Harassment Certification, and Responsible Beverage Service Certification.
