Job Overview

We are in search of a dedicated Communications and Marketing Coordinator to manage both internal and external communication initiatives. This role encompasses overseeing our intranet platform, public relations, messaging, and the creation of newsletter content, as well as providing support for HR and Marketing efforts. The ideal candidate will possess experience in managing external communication strategies, including controlling information dissemination and addressing media inquiries.

This position requires a creative and innovative mindset. Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the responsibilities of the Communications and Marketing Coordinator include:

  • Brand Representation - Overseeing Internal/External Communication & Public Relations
    • Establishing and nurturing a positive public image and brand reputation for the organization
    • Drafting press releases and addressing media inquiries
    • Distributing content through social media and other communication channels
    • Composing and refining communications for both internal and external stakeholders
    • Managing media relations, including arranging interviews and statements
  • Enhanced Communication Strategies for the organization
    • Exhibiting professionalism with a friendly approach
    • Effectively communicating in both written and verbal formats
    • Assessing and contributing to marketing strategies to ensure accurate messaging
  • Management of Internal Messaging Platform
    • Facilitating internal communications to keep employees engaged
  • Coordination of Communication Flows with HR & Marketing:
    • Managing press releases, internal memos, and corporate event promotions
    • Overseeing digital signage and HR communications
  • Intranet Content Management
    • Conducting weekly updates across the platform
    • Collaborating with teams to ensure new content is consistently added
    • Proposing innovative methods to engage employees
  • Quarterly Newsletter Oversight
    • Collecting and composing content for the newsletter
    • Reporting on corporate activities and events across various locations
  • Participating in Employee Engagement Events: Capturing photos and writing stories
  • Fostering long-term relationships with influencers and key stakeholders
  • Collaborating with Marketing and HR teams

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in managing and coordinating communication efforts and press releases.
  • Bachelor's degree in communications or a related field.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Proficient in Windows operating systems (7 and newer).
  • Well-organized, strong communicator, proficient in spelling and grammar, and skilled in proofreading.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Marketing/Sales Software such as Hubspot, Salesforce, or Microsoft Dynamics is advantageous.
  • Experience with Netpresenter software is a plus.
  • Knowledge of the design and construction industry is beneficial.
