Position Overview:
The Hospital Financial Controller at Cuyuna Regional Medical Center plays a crucial role in supporting the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) by providing insightful analysis of financial data to facilitate informed decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all month-end closing activities and ensure the preparation of unaudited monthly financial statements.
- Assist in the annual financial audit process.
- Serve as a financial resource for departmental directors and unit managers, offering analysis and recommendations for process improvements.
- Conduct in-house audits of operational units to identify and address deficiencies.

Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting is required.
- A minimum of three years of relevant experience in financial management.

Skills and Competencies:
- Strong ability to work independently and manage confidential information with discretion.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including effective listening and communication.
- Capacity to adapt resources to meet situational needs and maintain composure in stressful environments.

Essential Duties:
- Record and reconcile general ledger entries.
- Prepare, record, and analyze financial transactions for assigned accounts to ensure accurate financial history.
- Perform account reconciliations and analyses to identify transaction processing issues and propose resolutions.
- Reconcile bank transactions and monthly statements, collaborating with the Accounts Payable department as necessary.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and compliance with corporate policies.
- Conduct cash application functions and ensure daily deposit reconciliations are completed accurately.

- Work closely with supervisors to receive constructive feedback and develop a personal growth plan.
- Foster effective teamwork and contribute positively to achieve organizational goals.
