POSITION SUMMARY

In the ceramics production environment, the Quality Assurance Inspector plays a crucial role in evaluating ceramic components at various magnifications to identify visual and feature-related imperfections, collaborating closely with the engineering team to enhance operational processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct thorough inspections of intricate ceramic components for both visual and feature defects, meticulously documenting findings in a Manufacturing Execution System (MES) to ensure data accuracy.
  • Execute ceramic core inspection procedures in compliance with AS9100 standards.
  • Interpret and follow work instructions and standard operating procedures with a strong focus on quality assurance.
  • Contribute to team objectives by achieving production and quality benchmarks.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and maintain a strong emphasis on quality.
  • Uphold a safe and organized workspace by adhering to established 6S practices.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisors or management.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma, GED, or a minimum of 2 years of experience in a visual inspection capacity within a manufacturing setting.
  • Proficiency in working under magnification on detailed components or assemblies.
  • Exceptional dexterity for handling intricate surfaces requiring precise hand movements.
  • Ability to engage closely with engineers to design and implement experimental procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail in both visual and written formats.
  • Willingness to adapt to varying schedules to accommodate production needs.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is essential.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • At least 3 years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, defense, or aerospace manufacturing sectors.
  • Background in quality inspection processes.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Capability to work for 8 hours under magnification.
  • Ability to handle, adjust, and transport delicate manufactured components.
  • Regular movement across a sizable production area.
  • Physical ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl as necessary.
  • Demonstrated good vision and hearing capabilities.
