Assistant Professor Position

Job Summary:
The University of Arkansas at Little Rock is seeking a highly qualified Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering to join our faculty. This is a tenure-track position that will begin in Fall 2023.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and teach undergraduate and graduate courses in mechanical engineering and advanced graduate courses in their research area
- Advise undergraduate and graduate students
- Supervise graduate research projects
- Serve on program, school, college, and university committees
- Engage in other service and research activities
- Establish and maintain an externally funded research program that includes the support of graduate and undergraduate students
- Participate in assessment for program improvement and ABET accreditation
Qualifications:
- BS in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering
- MS and PhD (All but Dissertation acceptable) in Mechanical Engineering or closely related discipline
- Expertise in engineering software, such as Solidworks, Autocad, Ansys, Ansys Fluent
- Experience in teaching engineering courses
- Experience in teaching in a hybrid or on-line environment
- Post-doctoral or industrial experience
