Job Title: Assistant Professor of Chemistry

We are seeking a highly qualified and motivated Assistant Professor of Chemistry to join our faculty at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate-level courses in inorganic chemistry, developing and maintaining a strong research program, and contributing to the department's service activities.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach undergraduate and graduate-level courses in inorganic chemistry, including lectures and laboratories
  • Develop and maintain a strong research program in inorganic chemistry, with a focus on experimental or theoretical areas
  • Contribute to the department's service activities, including participation on program-level, college, and university-wide committees
  • Advise and mentor students in the chemistry program
Requirements:
  • Ph.D. in Chemistry or a related field
  • Experience in teaching inorganic chemistry and laboratory courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels
  • Strong research background in inorganic chemistry, with a focus on experimental or theoretical areas
  • Ability to develop and maintain a strong research program, with a focus on securing external funding
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Postdoctoral research experience in inorganic chemistry
  • Experience in teaching inorganic chemistry and laboratory courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels
  • Strong publication record in inorganic chemistry
  • Ability to develop and maintain a strong research program, with a focus on securing external funding
