Responsibilities

  • Monitor system logs and real-time alerts to identify trends, investigate anomalies, and report exceptions to the Information Security Program.
  • Participate in the Information Security Committee and create meeting dashboards.
  • Coordinate user access programs for all systems, both on-premise and hosted by third parties, including initial setup, ongoing reviews, and user removal due to terminations or separations.
  • Review and update IT-related accepted risks based on changes in technology and vulnerabilities.
  • Assist with the initial configuration review of third-party hosted systems to determine compliance with bank policies and procedures.
  • Gather industry alerts and information from security-focused groups (Financial Services Information Sharing and Analysis Center, FDIC, etc.) to inform the Information Security Committee of potential threats and recommend action steps commensurate with risk levels.
  • Verify that bank-wide applications meet the standards required by the Information Security Program.
  • Update the Information Security Program and corresponding cybersecurity policies, procedures, and controls annually based on regulatory changes, feedback from the Information Security Committee, and audit results.
  • Coordinate scheduled reviews of system logs to verify proper system changes and employee access rights align with job responsibilities.
  • Perform scans on internal devices to identify vulnerabilities and provide guidance to system administrators for remedial actions.
  • Analyze the integrity of changes made to the bank's network through the Patch Management program, Change Management Program, user access changes, and system modification forms.
  • Develop and deliver information security training for employees to educate them on bank information security policies and procedures.
  • Monitor team members' adherence to the bank's Information Security Program through clean desk audits, phishing testing, and other testing outlined in the Information Security Testing Program.
  • Research, implement, and maintain an information security framework through ongoing compliance monitoring of the framework.
  • Develop and coordinate information security training for customers through bank statements and social media platforms.
  • Support the bank's responses to potential cybercrime activity and data breaches according to the bank's Incident Response Policy.
  • Assist customers with recovering from fraudulent transactions by identifying recovery steps necessary based on transaction type and coordinating follow-up with other departments as needed.
  • Complete or participate in the preparation of risk assessments for new critical technologies, applications, or devices implemented, revised, or installed.
  • Collaborate with Information Services and system administrators to select suitable technology vendors supporting regulatory and best practice requirements and research information security tools.
  • Enforce the bank's record retention program for electronic documents and classify these records according to the bank's Classification of Information Policy.
  • Support the Risk Management Department with risk management-related tasks as required.
  • Comply with applicable Federal and State laws and regulations as well as bank policies.
  • Perform other related duties assigned.
  • Exceed customer expectations by following guidelines outlined in the Customer Experience Program.

  • Competitive salary range: $140,000 - $190,000 per year
  • At least five years of experience in the information security field, preferably in the banking industry.
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) with a focus on business and/or technology; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), and/or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) designations are preferred but not required.
