We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our imaging team on a PRN/per diem/as-needed basis. As a Radiology Technologist, you will play a crucial role in assisting physicians in diagnosis and treatment by taking high-quality radiographs (x-rays) of patients. Responsibilities:

  • You will possess sound and thorough knowledge of all diagnostic radiographic procedures and related equipment, including surgical, portable, trauma, general, and fluoroscopic radiographic procedures.
  • You will obtain high-quality radiographic and fluoroscopic images, ensuring only optimal images are submitted for interpretation, utilizing appropriate lead markers as well as date and time stickers where indicated.
  • You will select proper and accurate technical factors and techniques to accommodate patient needs and assist in the administration of contrast media when indicated.
  • You will prepare, transfer, and position patients as needed, ensuring modesty, safety, and utilizing auxiliary equipment and/or devices as appropriate.
  • You will document all pertinent clinical information prior to the exam, obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields within MEDITECH accurately and on time.
  • You will maintain proactive and effective communication with patients and other caregiver colleagues, including the radiologist.
  • You will check the operation of the equipment, maintain cleanliness of the table/equipment to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases, and keep the room stocked with linens and necessary supplies.

Qualifications:

  • You must have completion of a 24-month Radiologic Technology program at an AMA-approved school.
  • You must have valid ARRT certification.
  • You must have clear/active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT).
  • You must have current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • You must be able to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, and lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs.
