Academic Advisor Position

About the Position:
The Academic Advisor will work with students in the School of Communication and the Arts to ensure their success in their four-year academic journey at Marist College.
The Advisor will meet with students regularly to develop semester schedules and four-year course plans, ensuring that students choose their pathways by the end of the first year and meet academic and degree requirements.
The role involves answering student questions, assisting with course struggles, and providing guidance on opportunities for internships and study abroad.
Key Responsibilities:
- Meet individually with students to develop academic plans
- Answer student emails and phone calls
- Process registrar forms as needed
- Consult with SCA Director of Advising, Department Chair, and Assistant Dean
- Participate in school and department meetings
- Attend necessary trainings
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- 1-3 years of relevant experience
