About the Role:
The Academic Advisor will work with students in the School of Communication and the Arts to set them up for success in their four years at Marist College.
The advisor will meet regularly with students to develop semester schedules and four-year course plans, ensuring that pathways are chosen by the end of the first year and academic and degree requirements are met.
The Academic Advisor will also work throughout the academic year, answering student questions, assisting with course struggles, and offering guidance on opportunities for internships and study abroad.
Key Responsibilities:
- Meet individually with students in person
- Answer student emails and phone calls
- Process registrar forms as needed
- Consult with SCA Director of Advising, Department Chair, and Assistant Dean
- Participate in school and department meetings
- Attend necessary trainings
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- 1-3 years of relevant experience
