Key Responsibilities:- Handle commercial general liability claims from inception to closure, ensuring timely and fair resolution.
- Conduct thorough investigations, including telephone contacts with involved parties, to gather facts and assess claims.
- Apply technical expertise and complex analysis to evaluate claims, negotiate settlements, and resolve disputes.
- Work within significant limits and authority on assignments, making informed decisions to resolve claims.
- Identify potentially suspicious claims and escalate them to management for further review.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with policyholders, risk managers, and agents to ensure excellent customer service and claims satisfaction.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments, regulatory changes, and best practices in claims handling.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including underwriters, brokers, and claims specialists, to ensure seamless claims handling and resolution.
- Typically 1-5 years of General Liability experience.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience, industry designation preferred.
- Dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to negotiate skillfully in difficult situations with both internal and external groups.
- Demonstrates ability to win concessions without damaging relationships.
- Understanding of applicable statutes, regulations, and case law.
- Thinks critically and anticipates, recognizes, identifies, and develops solutions to problems in a timely manner.
- Easily adapts to new or different changing situations, requirements, or priorities.
- Operates with latitude for un-reviewed action or decision.
- Computer experience (MS Office, Excel, Word, etc.).
- Proficient using paperless Claims systems.
