As a Product Developer/Culinologist, you'll play a crucial role in driving our success by developing innovative food products that meet our clients' needs.

About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team. As a Product Developer/Culinologist, you'll be responsible for:

  • Developing new food products that meet our clients' requirements
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and execute product development projects
  • Conducting sensory evaluations and product taste sessions
  • Managing ingredient procurement and storage
  • Preparing sample shipments and packaging
Key Responsibilities

As a Product Developer/Culinologist, you'll be responsible for:

  • Carrying out project tasks under the direction of the Project Manager and Development Leader
  • Participating in technical review and design of experiments
  • Writing starting formulations and making formula revisions as directed by the team
  • Researching and evaluating ingredient functionality, starting formulation, processes, technologies, and more
  • Executing formulas on the bench as directed by the team
  • Updating formulas with well-documented notes, next steps, and goals
  • Producing prototype samples for client tasting, consumer testing, tradeshows, and more
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Food Science
  • Minimum 2-4 years of food industry product development experience (Could include work-study and internships)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
  • Proficient user of Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint software
